The organizers of the "Smart Stuttering Community" are preparing to compete for several regional and international awards following the success of their Saudi project aimed at eliminating stuttering within 5 days, which earned the "Jeddah Creativity Award for Community Innovation." The project is supervised by Dr. Abdullah Krishan and aims to change the lives of individuals who suffer from stuttering through specialized and professional programs that contribute to improving their condition. Dr. Krishan points out that stuttering results from genetic or psychological factors, which then affect the irregularity of the breathing system and often appear at an early age, with the impact potentially lasting for a long time. The main issue lies in the inability to control stuttering. The project has been implemented over three years and has resolved the stuttering problem for more than 900 individuals, most of whom showed a 90% improvement thanks to workshops that focused on behavior enhancement, breathing system regulation during speech, and various psychological interventions. After winning the Jeddah award, the team plans to participate in other local, regional, and international awards to raise awareness about the problem of stuttering and the necessity of providing support to people who suffer from it worldwide.
